Monterey Science of Sustainability Museum

The MSSM is a public museum designed to help visitors understand the complex problems we face in the coming years due to human impacts on global health and how they as individuals can make steps towards sustainable living. The museum experience is designed to engage all age groups alike, while ensuring that the younger generations can comprehend and enjoy the space and material fully. With a specially designed “Path to Sustainability” visitors of all ages will be using human interaction, technology, and their senses to create a meaningful and long-lasting impact.

Adirondack Guest Cabin

The Adirondack Guest Cabin began as a 24 hour design challenge to stretch my creative ability and production capabilities. The project imagines a modern take on the traditional vernacular architecture of the Lean To, blending old facade and rooflines with modern finishes and amenities to create a welcoming space for guests to enjoy the landscape.

Kate space retail front

This project focused on creating a unique retail space for the design giant Kate Spade. Located in an open air mall in Jacksonville FL, the design used tiers to welcome guests in and encourage them to wander through the space. Finish selections and details showcase the brands playful take on luxury goods while the track lighting allows for evolving displays.

Adirondack game room

Created as a less formal design, this proposed the creation of a children’s sleeping cabin that can also function as game room within a family vacation home. Outfitted with bunk beds along the back wall and built in drawers for storage the cabin also houses a wooden table that can be converted into a ping pong table, game table or craft area with poufs stored underneath.

Sketch Book

A small collection of sketch book pages designed to show my thought process when looking at a new design challenge. My sketchbook also houses the various forms of art I pursue such as still life drawing, landscape sketching, block printing and pattern design.

Maharam Education Station

Designed as a conference booth, the Education Station allows Maharam to have a collaborative space to educate designers on their product library and sustainable features. The project overall looked at Maharam’s current sustainability practices, challenges and then provided suggested solutions to improve their sustainable impact as a whole.
