I was charged with developing and designing a detailed interior and exterior for a Kate Spade Boutique in St. Johns, Jacksonville, FL, for a quarter long project. I handled the materials selection, concept design, and finalprocessing. Using my skills in Revit, Photoshop, and concept design to create an engaging and brand oriented space.
Kate Spade Store Front: Jacksonville FL
For my Studio II class we were tasked with designing a unique Kate Spade store front in a shopping center in Jacksonville FL. Through use of branding research, local data, and conversations with sales associates at 12 different Kate Spade locations, I designed a store that was undeniably Kate Spade while still being a unique experience.
Main Stage Entrance
One of the store's main entrances takes consumers directly to the main stage of the store, where the newest merchandise is housed. Cherry floors, light pastel colors, and bold patterns tie to the Kate Spade brand while pure whites reflect natural light and give the store an airy and open interior.
Front Entrance
The front entrance leads directly to the ADA ramp and main stage. Bold black and white chevron floors are a Kate Spade staple so they are worked into both the very front and back of the store to tie the spaces together. Frosted glass and clear acrylic displays house merchandise and create separation between zones while allowing workers to maintain sight of both doors from the counter.
Dressing Room Lounge
The lounge offers a spot for shoppers to rest or wait for friends as they try on clothing. Located next to the dressing rooms in the back of the store the lounge offers privacy and comfort with a fabric panel partitioning it off and Kate Spade furniture on display to rest on.
